Hot off the Google Press

Let’s face it, not everyone is an SEO master. But, Google is certainly trying to make it easier. They have always been trying to level the playing field. It’s an ideology that even small business can succeed with a little effort and a bit of help.  Isn’t that why we all admire and follow Google?

How does being able to submit your own URL to Google sound?

Yep, it is true. In a recent update, Google introduced a new tool and it’s going to stir things up.

What does this mean for SEO?

For one, it means you do not have to work hard as hard get a page indexed but you still have to work at keeping it there. It is one thing to get it indexed, it is another to get it to rank. Getting rid of your SEO team is not going to happen anytime soon, however, it might be something to consider in the future.  While I won’t go into deals about how it works, suffice to say, Google is making it easier for people.

Remember, this does not mean your website will rank automatically, there are still things a good website needs to have but it will eliminate at least one step. Your website still needs to adhere to Google guidelines.  However, making one thing easier may free up your SEO team to work on other more effective strategies. This is a win for everyone!

Before you submit your URL make sure that you:

  • Optimize your pages before submitting them
  • Make sure your website design is user-friendly and responsive
  • Make sure your content is interesting, informative and well written.

Where can I find this tool?
